Echoes of the Adi Ganga
This work is an emotional response to the Adi Ganga—a river that carries centuries of memory, history, and life, while also bearing the scars of pollution and human intervention. Flowing blues, fractured folds, and layered marks come together to evoke the river’s ever-changing movement: at times constrained, at times free. The pleated surface becomes a metaphor for this continuous journey, holding within its folds both beauty and loss.
The work is, at once, a lament for what has been lost and a gesture of hope. Inspired by the collective efforts to restore the Adi Ganga, it reflects a belief that a wounded river can still find its way back to life.
